The BIODEF database allows you
to search for information by selecting one of the following
filters:
- Type of BH4 deficiency (e.g. GTPCH, PTPS, PCD or DHPR)
- Subtype (e.g. severe/typical, intermediate, or mild/atypical
form)
- Country (country codes - see below)
- Ethnic origin
- Sex
- Extended search (clinical signs and symptoms)
1. Within a particular search you will be able
to browse data on each patient.

Patients are identified by their ID numbers and the same
ID number is used in the mutations' database BIOMDB.

Please note that the BIODEF database is anonymous. If
you need more specific information on particular patient(s)
please send a mail with the patient's ID# to one of the
curators and your request will be forwarded to the corresponding
physician. The physician will then contact you directly.
If you want to register a newly diagnosed patient please
use the online registration or ask for the questionnaire
(N. Blau).
